IC 1805, commonly known as the Heart Nebula, is a massive emission nebula and active star-forming region located approximately 7,500 light-years away in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way (Cassiopeia constellation). It spans nearly 200–300 light-years, energized by the central young star cluster Melotte 15, which sculpts the surrounding hydrogen gas into distinct, ionized structures.
